Taking Time For Wellness

Dear Customers,

The past two weeks have been very difficult due to the coronavirus and I have now reached the point of needing to close for a week in order to care solely for my children.

As many of you will already know, my little boy has cystic fibrosis and is classed as extremely vunerable. Catching the virus would damage his lungs beyond repair and threaten his life. For this reason, as advised by the government we are completely isolating in order to protect him as best I can.

I am fortunate that I run moonchild from home, as this enabled me to continue running the business for the past couple of weeks. As many of you also know, Moonchild is a small family business, comprised of myself and my lovely parents. Unfortunately, with Louis' condition, they have been unable to help me so I have been running the business alone whilst simultaneously caring for my two higher needs children. As I am also a single mummy, this has been a bit of a juggling act to say the least.

Lou requires an awful lot of daily care just to stay well, with many different medications and chest physiotherapy. This isn't something new, it is the way that people with cystic fibrosis have to live each day of their life. With the threat of the virus everything has been intensified and made that much more stressful.

I have kept going on my own for the past two weeks but have been steadily getting more run down and have been feeling very low. In order to stay happy and healthy for my children during this difficult time, I've taken the decision to close for a week in order to regain some strength, both mentally and physically. I often harp on to customers about taking time for your wellness, else you'll be forced to make time for your illness, and I think it's high time I took my own advice!  :D

I hope that my lovely customers will understand my need to take this small break.

Sending my love, blessings and wishes of good health and protection to all. Stay inside where possible and please stay safe!

Blessed Be

Leanne xx
