Obsidian Elder Futhark Rune Necklace

An ancient symbol of self-discovery, wisdom and the connections that shape our journey.

Walk the Elder Path and discover the wisdom held within the ancient runes.

The Elder Path ~ Mannaz ~ The Soul’s Reflection is a striking rune necklace inspired by the mystery and symbolism of the Elder Futhark. With its substantial, irregular silhouette and richly textured silver finish, the pendant evokes the appearance of an ancient runestone, weathered by time and carrying a message from a forgotten age.

At its centre rests the Mannaz rune (ᛗ), traditionally associated with humanity, the self, awareness and our relationships with others. Above the rune, a beautifully faceted black obsidian cabochon adds depth and contrast, its dark surface complementing the aged character of the pendant.

The Magick of Mannaz

Mannaz is the rune of humanity and the conscious self. Within modern runic and spiritual interpretations, it represents self-knowledge, understanding, personal growth and the intricate connections that bind us to those around us.

It invites us to look inward, recognise both our strengths and our shadows, and remember that wisdom is found not only in solitude but also through our experiences and relationships.

Mannaz is particularly meaningful as a symbol of:

• Self-discovery and awareness — recognising your authentic nature and inner wisdom.
• Personal growth — embracing change, reflection and the lessons of experience.
• Connection and community — honouring the relationships that shape our lives.
• Balance and understanding — acknowledging the many facets of the human spirit.
• Wisdom and introspection — seeking clarity along your individual path.

The Magick of Black Obsidian

A stone long treasured for its striking appearance, black obsidian is associated in crystal traditions with protection, grounding, truth and deep inner reflection.

Often regarded as a stone of the shadow self, obsidian is believed to encourage honest introspection, helping us acknowledge what lies beneath the surface and approach personal transformation with greater understanding.

Paired with Mannaz, its symbolism beautifully complements the rune’s themes of self-awareness, authenticity and discovering the wisdom within.

A Talisman of the Elder Path

The substantial, silver-plated pendant features an irregular, heavily textured surface, with the Mannaz rune standing prominently against its ancient-looking finish.

A faceted obsidian cabochon, carefully set within a stainless steel tray, provides a beautiful focal point above the rune.

Each necklace is thoughtfully hand-assembled at MoonChild Spiritual Emporium, with a decorative silver-plated bail and an adjustable-length black cord, finished with a lobster clasp and extender chain.
