(A Spell for Every Witch Who Forgot She Was the Storm)
Sometimes the most magical thing you can do is stop giving a single blessed fuck.
We spend so much of our sacred energy trying to please everyone else, bending, shrinking, swallowing our words, smoothing over their bad moods, holding the weight of the world on our shoulders, until one day something inside of us simply snaps.
And thank the Goddess it does.
This spell was born on one of those days.
A day when the cracks weren’t signs of weakness, they were battle cries.
A day when I realised that my soul had grown too big to fit inside the tiny little box other people expected me to stay in.
A day when I chose myself; fully, wildly, unapologetically.
And if you’re here, my love, it’s your time too.
This spell isn’t for gently setting boundaries.
It isn’t for quietly stepping back.
It’s for lighting a bonfire in the middle of your soul and dancing around it laughing.
If you’re ready to reclaim every piece of yourself you’ve ever given away, with no guilt, no apologies, no fucks given,
then light your candle, speak these words, and take your power back.
You’ll need:
- A black candle (banishing energy)
- A pinch of chili flakes or black pepper (spice and bite)
- A strip of parchment or scrap paper
- Pen
- A fireproof dish or cauldron (because obviously)
- Your sassiest energy
On the parchment, write the words:
“All that drains me, dims me, or demands more than it gives… begone.”
Then underneath, write:
“I owe you nothing but the silence of my peace.”
Light the candle, and as the flame flickers, hold that paper over it and say aloud (with glorious witchy drama):
“By candle’s flame and midnight charm,
I call back power, soul, and calm.
No guilt, no doubt, no heavy chain,
I’m done with carrying others’ strain.
No rat’s ass left, no single fuck,
You had your chance, you’re out of luck.
So mote it be, with sass and glee,
I choose myself, and I set me free.”
Burn the parchment. Watch the smoke rise like your standards. Let the ashes fall like the weight you’ve carried. Then blow out the candle and do a little shoulder shimmy for liberation.
Final Notes:
This spell is best done under a waxing moon or full moon when you’re ready to rise, but honestly, the best time is whenever the hell you decide you’re done dimming your light.
You are sacred.
You are powerful.
You are nobody’s afterthought.
The world better watch out, because there’s no force more unstoppable than a witch who remembers who she is!
